Icon is a fully diversified national construction services provider.
The development of a contemporary construction identity is no small challenge. We introduced a flexible visual system comprising four tiers of language that enable the organisation to differentiate communications into sector appropriate expression.
These tiers are titled Core, Capable, Commercial and Custom and the resulting expressions include language developed to explain and reinforce the great capability and experience of the business.
Much of our work in a project like this is a carefully negotiated process with client stakeholders which ensures that the outcomes will provide for the individual needs of staff across organisation.

For a company like Icon, working efficiently across communication spans over 400 internal documents. Establishing a flexible but cohesive language at this scale requires a system of templates that can be utilised in everything from the most mundane paperwork through to beautifully tailored Expressions of Interest and Tender proposals.
